Ce trouble moteur, afflig\u00e9 par une nature neurod\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rative, a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9crit pour la premi\u00e8re fois par le m\u00e9decin g\u00e9n\u00e9raliste Georges Huntington en 1872, marquant ainsi le d\u00e9but d&rsquo;une exploration m\u00e9dicale constante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/institutducerveau-icm.org\/fr\/huntington\/#:~:text=La%20maladie%20de%20Huntington%2C%20anciennement\">https:\/\/institutducerveauicm.org\/fr\/huntington\/#:~:text=La%20maladie%20de%20Huntington%2C%20ancienn&#8230;,psychiatriques%20qui%20s%27aggravent%20progressivement.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Les statistiques.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces donn\u00e9es peignent le tableau complexe de cette condition neurod\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rative :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-list\">\n<li>Il y a environ 10 cas de maladie de Huntington pour 100 000 individus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sa pr\u00e9valence semble plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e dans les populations d\u2019origine caucasienne que dans les autres.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"819\" src=\"https:\/\/teamdoc.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/255-1024x819.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-981\" style=\"width:618px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/teamdoc.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/255-1024x819.png 1024w, https:\/\/teamdoc.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/255-300x240.png 300w, https:\/\/teamdoc.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/255-768x614.png 768w, https:\/\/teamdoc.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/255-1536x1229.png 1536w, https:\/\/teamdoc.fr\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/255.png 2000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>En France :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-list\">\n<li>18 000 personnes concern\u00e9es : 6 000 pr\u00e9sentent actuellement des sympt\u00f4mes et environ 12 000 porteuses du g\u00e8ne mut\u00e9 de la huntingtine restent \u00e0 ce jour asymptomatiques.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Concernant l&rsquo;\u00e2ge de manifestation :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-list\">\n<li>Les sympt\u00f4mes \u00e9mergent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement entre 30 et 50 ans, avec une r\u00e9partition \u00e9gale entre hommes et femmes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dans 10% des cas, la maladie fait son entr\u00e9e avant l&rsquo;\u00e2ge de 20 ans.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Il existe des cas exceptionnels o\u00f9 l&rsquo;affection se manifeste de mani\u00e8re pr\u00e9coce, avant l&rsquo;\u00e2ge de 20 ans, qualifi\u00e9e de \u00ab\u00a0juv\u00e9nile\u00a0\u00bb, ou \u00e0 un stade bien plus avanc\u00e9, apr\u00e8s 70 ans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/institutducerveau-icm.org\/fr\/huntington\/\">https:\/\/institutducerveau-icm.org\/fr\/huntington\/<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Une mutation g\u00e9n\u00e9tique d\u00e9vastatrice.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile is-vertically-aligned-center\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 46%\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>Cette maladie g\u00e9n\u00e9tique r\u00e9sulte d&rsquo;une mutation dans le g\u00e8ne de la huntingtine sur le chromosome 4. Cette mutation provoque une production anormale de la prot\u00e9ine huntingtine, entra\u00eenant la formation d&rsquo;agr\u00e9gats toxiques. Ces agr\u00e9gats endommagent les neurones, en particulier dans le striatum du cerveau, provoquant des sympt\u00f4mes moteurs, cognitifs et \u00e9motionnels. La maladie se transmet selon un mode autosomique dominant, avec un risque de 50 % pour la descendance d&rsquo;une personne atteinte. Le diagnostic de cette pathologie repose sur une observation minutieuse des sympt\u00f4mes cliniques, appuy\u00e9e par une analyse g\u00e9n\u00e9tique pr\u00e9cise. L&rsquo;identification de l&rsquo;expansion g\u00e9n\u00e9tique offre aux familles des possibilit\u00e9s \u00e9clair\u00e9es, telles que le recours au diagnostic
